The best salaf for us whom we take as an example is our Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).  For within his worship lies an example fr us and lighthouses of guidance for us to follow and learn.

The discussion on the topic of, “condition of the Salaf in worship.” is a lengthy one. The best Salaf for us to follow, emulate, and model ourselves behind is our Messenger (May Allah raise his rank and grant him peace). Within his worship is an example for us and a minaret of guidance in which we can emulate and learn from.

Based upon this I thought that I would direct this lecture in summary of the ahadith that are mention from the Messenger (May Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) concerning matters of worship and what was the affair of His Companions pertaining to worship. The features of worship which the Prophet (May Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) was upon is what Allāh (The Exalted) mentioned,

“Indeed in the Messenger of Allāh (Muhammad May Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allāh and the Last Day and remembers Allāh much.” [Sūrah al-Ahzāb 33:21]
